Running Nugget on macOS is usually straightforward because Finder already provides the Apple device stack. Most Mac issues come from Gatekeeper warnings, missing trust prompts, or using a cable that charges but does not pass data.

Mac requirements

  • macOS 11 Big Sur or newer on Apple Silicon or Intel.
  • A signed or manually approved Nugget build from the official GitHub release page.
  • A working USB data cable and a device on a supported iOS version.
  • Finder access so you can verify the Mac recognizes the iPhone before using Nugget.

Install Nugget on Mac

  1. Download the latest macOS build from the official Nugget repository.
  2. Drag Nugget.app into Applications after extracting the download.
  3. If macOS blocks the app the first time, right-click the app, choose Open, and approve the launch.
  4. Connect the device, unlock it, and tap Trust if iOS asks for confirmation.
  5. Open Nugget, verify the detected iOS version, and apply one small tweak before moving to advanced features.

Common macOS fixes

  • Confirm the iPhone appears in Finder. If Finder cannot see it, Nugget will not either.
  • Reconnect the cable directly to the Mac instead of a dock when trust prompts do not appear.
  • Reopen Nugget after approving Gatekeeper so it can refresh device access.
  • Restart both Finder and the iPhone if the session stays stuck on device discovery.

Best practice for first runs

  • Keep a backup available before trying model spoofing or AI-related settings.
  • Apply only one category of tweaks at a time.
  • Reboot after larger changes if the lock screen or status bar keeps cached visuals.
