How to Install Nugget iOS on Windows

Windows is the easiest way to run Nugget, but most setup problems come from missing Apple drivers. The goal is simple: install the Apple mobile device stack first, then launch Nugget from a normal extracted folder instead of directly inside a ZIP archive.

Windows requirements

• Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 with administrator access.
• The Apple Devices app or a desktop iTunes install that includes Apple Mobile Device Support.
• A direct USB connection. Avoid hubs until Nugget sees the phone reliably.
• Enough free disk space for a fresh backup if you need one.

Install Nugget on Windows

1. Download the latest Windows release from the official Nugget GitHub repository.
2. Extract the ZIP to a normal folder such as Downloads\Nugget or Desktop\Nugget.
3. Install Apple device software if it is not already present, then reconnect the iPhone.
4. Right-click Nugget.exe and run it normally. Use administrator mode only if the app cannot reach the drivers.
5. Unlock the device, tap Trust, and wait for Nugget to show the hardware and iOS version.

If Windows does not detect your device

• Try a different USB port and a known-good cable before changing software.
• Reopen the Apple Devices app or iTunes once to confirm Windows can see the phone outside Nugget.
• Remove stale Store-based iTunes installs if the Apple drivers are inconsistent.
• Restart the Apple Mobile Device service and reconnect the phone.

Before you click Apply

• Disable large batches of tweaks on the first run. Test one change first.
• Keep the screen unlocked until Nugget finishes writing the configuration.
• If Apply fails, disconnect, reboot the phone, and try again after reopening Nugget.
