Nugget iOS Troubleshooting Guide

Most Nugget problems fall into one of four buckets: the computer cannot see the device, the apply step fails, the tweak writes but the UI does not refresh, or the firmware is simply outside the supported range. Work through the checks below in order instead of changing several variables at once.

Device not detected

• Unlock the iPhone or iPad and reconnect it with a known-good data cable.
• Confirm the device appears in Finder on macOS or Apple Devices/iTunes on Windows.
• Replace hubs and adapters with a direct USB connection during troubleshooting.
• Reopen Nugget after trust prompts have been accepted.

Apply failed or stalled

• Disconnect and reconnect the device, then reopen Nugget.
• Make sure the device stays unlocked until the apply step is finished.
• Temporarily reduce the batch to a single tweak so you can isolate the failure.
• Reboot the phone before trying again if the same error repeats.

Changes applied but nothing changed

• Wait for the restart or respring to finish completely.
• Check whether the tweak you selected is actually supported on your current iOS version.
• Perform a manual reboot to flush cached UI state.
• Disable the tweak, apply again, and then retest with a simpler setting.

Safe recovery checklist

1. Revert the last tweak you enabled.
2. Restart the device and reconnect it to Nugget.
3. Verify your iOS version against the compatibility matrix.
4. Restore from backup or use a normal system restore if you need to return to a clean baseline.

When to stop experimenting

• Stop if the device UI becomes unreadable or a feature repeatedly fails on the same firmware.
• Move back to basic tweaks like wallpapers or status bar edits if spoofing features are unstable.
• Use official releases only. Modified third-party builds make troubleshooting much harder.
